Tells me that the farther we get away from the conservative based ideas that the US was founded the more problems we face. Even obama uses the 50's and early 60's of an example of when this country was at its finest. In fact white people in those days would rather starve than take hand outs.

New York city is a perfect example of what your talking about. Rudy went in facing huge crime problems and a other wise disastrous mess. In just a few months he was able to turn the city around. Crime rates dropped faster than obama's pants do when he walks into Barney Franks apartment.

Chicago on the other hand is a waste land. Crime and poverty are rampant and they had to deal with moronic leaders like barack obama who pushed things like sub-prime loans in the 90's. Now we all know that the actions of people like this obama fraud have led to an economic disaster.

Detroit has a population made up of horrible people. Other than a hurricane hitting the city and flushing the toilet nothing can fix that mess. Unfortunately Detroit is too far North to ever have mother nature clean the proverbial clogged toilet of a city.

The biggest mistake the lib dems did was to get rid of charles Kennedy. Okay, he had a drink problem, but he was charismatic and the people liked him. I am sure many people voted for Tony Blair for the same reasons.
