What is your take on that many european parties that mirror US conservatism are called liberal democrats? We Answered:
The term 'Liberal' refers to the politics of individualism. All politics are usually a contest between 'individualism' and 'collectivism'. If you look up 'classic liberals' you will see a right wing philosophy very close to conservatism (minus the religious and social conservative elements).Originally 'liberals' were those who wanted less government, they espoused more freedom, and personal responsibility. "Progressives' from the left hi-jacked the term 'liberal' in America, reversing it's meaning in an attempt to disguise their unpopular, left-wing views.
Look up 'classic liberals', liberals means right-wing, and it still does in most countries.

do you think every political ideology in the US has something to offer? We Answered:
I understand what you're getting at, and I agree with you. I think that what many folks fail to understand is that all the people who follow these ideologies need each other. People are imperfect, and so, by extension, whatever political ideologies they create are also imperfect. The shortcomings of one particular ideology can often be compensated by the strengths of another. It's like a yin-yang effect, a counterbalance that's achieved by the existence of multiple political ideologies. If we had just one ideology, and all the power in this country were to fall into the hands of the followers of that ideology, then any flaws that ideology may have could potentially become fatal. Plus, it is always dangerous when only one party is holding all the cards. Too much power in the hands of a single political group is, as history taught us back when the Nazis came to power in Germany and communists came to power in Russia, a very dangerous prospect. As ironic as it is, liberals and conservatives compliment each other, as do libertarians and socialists. They provide us with a certain balance that's good for the country. But some of them don't realize it.
