Michigan Democratic Primary
Nellie Said:
What will be the point of having a democratic primary in Michigan? We Answered:
Since MI has the highest job loss in the nation; it seems like this just narrows the rights of the citizens to represent themselves in the DNC...better question would be:Who benefits by primaries not being recognized in MI and FL?
I take exception to this, as I am a voter in MI who would vote in the primary.
Dan Said:
What happening with the Democratic Michigan primary? We Answered:
The Michigan Democratic Party moved its primary ahead of its normal schedule, against party rules (only a certain number can be held by such and such a date, etc.). The Democratic National Committee said that because of this, Michigan would be stripped of its party delegates. In other words, it's a meaningless primary -- no reason to campaign there. Florida is facing the same situation.Roberta Said:
why wasn't obama's name in the michigan democratic primary? We Answered:
Since Michigan moved it's primary so early, the Democratic Party "punished" the state by not allowing any Michigan delegates to be awarded for the eventual Dem Convention.Hillary stayed on the ballot cause she new she'd win the "beauty contest," even though no delegates would be given.
Barak wisely stayed off the ballot because he didn't see Michigan as a winable state for him, and he had an automatic escuse for not running there and wasting resources that he could focus on closer matchup states.
SO if he lost (which he sorta did), he can say he didnt compete, therefor Hillary didn't beat him
