What are some of the traits of the Democratic Party? We Answered:
The Liberal Agenda•attack American traditions, specifically Christian traditions and the traditional American family
•engage in "get-even" policies that support discrimination when it benefits historically disadvantaged groups
•punish and/or discourage achievement through taxation and fiscal policies
•use the rulings of the Judicial branch of the government as de facto law, irrevocable by anything short of Constitutional amendment or a future court ruling, thus bypassing the legislative process. Roe V. Wade is the most frequently cited example of "judicial activism". (48 million dead and counting)
•weaken the military strength and morale of the country by vilifying the practice of armed combat and hesitating to use force when it appears necessary
•use regulatory bodies over private enterprise to accomplish social goals and restrict competition (government, education, labor and health care)
•establish secular and progressive social policy, including support for gay marriage, abortion, liberal drug policy, euthanasia and prostitution legalization.
•implement a foreign policy supporting the selected protection of human rights and multiculturalism through activism, social intervention and violence (social anarchism)

Why are so many Black Folks in the Democratic Party? We Answered:
It is true that originally the Republicans included a strong anti slavery faction, and for many years black folks were loyal Republicans. But the Republican Party really abandoned the African Americans before they abandoned it. First, the party soon lost interest in Reconstruction and pulled Federal Troops out of the South. The Southern Democrats were able to take over again and they wrote new consitutions that took rights away from the black people. So at that point they felt abandoned by the Republicans but certainly could not turn to the Democrats which represented the racists. Despite high levels of lynchings etc. they could not get many in the Republican Party to vote to outlaw it.A change started to happen I think with Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression. he was a Democrat but in his federal works programs he gave jobs to blacks and had anti- discrimination rules in the programs. There were a lot of desperately poor black folks who benefited by it. then in the 60s because of some of the policies toward the civil rights movement black people saw the Kennedys JFK and his brother RFK as at least sometimes on their side, and then it was Northern Democrats, and a few of the moderate Republicans , with a lot of support from Johnson even though he was a Southerner, that got the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act passed At that point a lot of Segregationist Southern Democrats were totally disgusted with their party..... and so the Republican Party made a decision that it was now their chance to break in and get votes in what had until that point been called the "Solid South" (Solid for the Dems). The Republican Party starting in 1968 with the campaign of Richard Nixon, had a "Southern Strategy" that involved ignoring the black vote, while playing on white racial fears to win votes in the south. This basically continued after that. So thngs flip flopped - - the Southern Whites went Republican and the Blacks went Democratic.

Is any type of political party an interest group? We Answered:
No, political parties usually take a broad stroke general position on a wide range of interests. Special interest groups usually have a very well defined specific goal targeted on one issue.Todd Said:

That is way too many facts to get an honest liberal answer but good luck to you.Willie Said:
