The lazy people are the ones who listen to what their mommy and daddy tell them to believe, and don't do any research to form their own opinions. I know many more Liberals that have come from Conservative houses than Conservatives that have come from Liberal houses.

sorry yellow; The taxpayers didn't pay for Palins wardrobe, the RNC paid for it so there's nothing to reimburse.

and Teekno: campaign appearances are not official duties of the president, the costs for travel expenses related to campaign appearances are supposed to be reimbursed to the government.

When presidents travel to make campaign appearances they are required to reimburse for the campaign's use of the aircraft and some of the costs. The presidents security detail has to go and isn't something they need to pay for as that is a requirement of his job.

However in almost every case when there is a campaign stop, (whether we are talking about republicans or democrat makes no difference) The president almost always plans at least one "official visit" and that is the purpose for the entire trip. therefore the dnc only has to reimburse the much smaller costs of the detour from the "official visit" no matter how trivial that official visit is.

It sucks but that's the reality and we pay most of the costs; just as we did when past presidents did the same thing.
