Not at all. I am ashamed of our political system right now.

We brag to the world that we have the best country, the best people , the best politics.. and then those who represent us act like two year olds.

The house and senate for example.. if my kids acted the way this bunch does, they would be in detention for a week. It is pathetic.

Not only that, children for the most part care more about each other than do our politicians about the country. Right now it is just each one of them trying to keep their cushy jobs.. to h e l l with what they are really supposed to be doing.

More than half the country keeps on saying no to a damaged health care system.. but does that stop Obama and his greedy bunch.. oh no.. they keep on trying to shove it in our noses.

If I hear that man say one more time that he just has to get something passed because the people want it.. I may scream... YES, MR. ALMIGHTY OBAMA, WE DO WANT HEALTH CARE.. BUT NOT THE PHONY ONE FILLED WITH PORK AND EARMARKS THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO GIVE US.. just plain and simple health care.. not 10,000 pages of legalese that no one can understand.

The democrats were the party of Slavery and segregation for a very long time. But it seems in the 50's or 60's they started to become the party of Civil rights.

The Republicans were once the Trust busters. Trust's being the dominant businesses like Standard Oil that dominated their specific fields. They were reformers in the day of McKinley and T. Roosevelt. But the last few years have become closely aligned to Business.

I guess just in time they shifted and inside people switched or imprinted their values on the party. Just look at the difference between Reagan republicans and the Neo-Conservatives.
