I don't know about the three practices used that differentiate communism from socialism as used in the former Soviet Union as compared to Germany. However I can tell you the fundamental differences between the two. Both forms are supposed to create economic equality for the people under its rule. However, Communism is a market based fundamentally on the government, whereas socialism is a market based on the people that promote equity among the citizens. In Communism, the government dictates what to produce and how much of that product to produce, whereas in socialism, the people dictate those standards, but the government decides how to distribute their taxes how to better fulfill the needs of the people. Take for example toilet paper. A communist government decides how much to produce and forces producers to make the specified amount, whereas in Socialism, the people decide how much to produce and the price to produce it at, and tax people on the sale of that good to promote economical equity. So whereas a communist country will produce 11 million units of toilet paper no matter what, a socialist country is still affected by supply and demand. So if in a socialist economy, 13 million units of toilet paper are demanded, and 11 million units of toilet paper are supplied, the market will equal out where that the same number are supplied and demanded, and taxes will be higher so that the wealth can be distributed more evenly among the people, such as with universal health care. In a communist country, 10 million units of toilet paper can be produced and 11 million demanded, but it won't matter because market demand doesn't effect a communist economy as it does a socialist or capitalist economy. The fundamental issue comes down to the government's role in the economy. In a communist economy, the government controls everything, so market demand means very little, and on the other side a "pure" capitalist economy is solely based on the interaction between supply and demand. Socialism tends to meet in the middle, with market demand meeting market supply, but the government controls taxes on these goods much more than a capitalist economy would.

I read that- and wondered- in the US every group of immigrants that has come were treated with disdain and sometimes violence and hatred. The reason they came was for a better economic condition. Most have assimilated into the culture and we have a multiculturalism- However we have a new world - the US is now developed and closed and seems more resistant to immigrants. Germany is a much more closed society - they aren't composed of different groups. It may take decades for a multiculturalism to take hold.

I believe you can look at a great number of them who are simply "followers", they actually don't even know what Socialism is, it is just the latest "fad", everyone's doing it, so follow their lead. They may think it is cool to be a "progressive". There are masses of people when asked, where does the government get their money, or where does Obama get his money to hand out, they don't know! They actually answer, that they don't know. I believe they thought it was cool to vote for Obama as well, a young progressive, that could "woo" the masses.

Some cultures are just laughing at us knowing that as one of their leaders said they can take over Europe in a bloodless war, all they have to do is arrive and breed.

Sweden has taken a turn to the right for the very reason that a section of the population are waging low level warfare against the people and the state.
