Personally, no I wouldn't. Socialism in regards to economics is effectively the opposite of free markets....everything is of collective ownership, to some degree, and distribution takes effect based on factors determined by those doing the distributing. Free market capitalism has built this country, and drives the world economy as well. The single most important factor that separates capitalism from other economic systems is entrepreneurship, limit that or take that away and you've stripped the backbone of the country.
On the other hand, I feel the same for far right politics, and I'm not talking about the current republican party or Bush either (who could probably be defined as much liberal as conservative based on some of his reforms). All a matter of personal opinion though.
