The English Democrats
Erik Said:
what is the difference between UKIP and the English Democrats? We Answered:
UKIP are a one issue protest party and there main aim is to remove the UK from Europe, which I agree with btw.The English Democrats, want an English parliament, withdrawal from Europe and stiffer controls on immigration etc. The English Democrats are in fact the same as the SNP in Scotland and Plaid Cymru in Wales. They want the same powers that Scotland and Wales has with money raised in England SPENT in England. Currently students and the elderly in both Scotland and Wales have free prescriptions, free elderly care and no student fees all paid for by people in England...tad unfair considering in England they subsidise Scotland and Wales and then pay again for themselves in affect in England you pay TWICE
Lonnie Said:
Has anyone voted for the English Democrats? We Answered:
Some must have voted for them after all they did win the Mayoral contest in Doncaster.Don't think they got a council seat but the BBC do have a set of 28 'others' listed so they could have one or two of those. As Independents and the other better known smaller parties are listed separately.
Anthony Said:
What did theEnglish Democrats mean when they said?We Answered:
what would the English democrats know about their forces being in operations for anything everyone knows its the Scottish, Welsh and Irish troups that get sent in first for the dangerous work and the English forces come in later when its safe.Gloria Said:
How many Votes did the English Democrats recieve for Creating an English Parliament? We Answered:
i personally don't care about the English but you can look up bbc online and ask on a related forumKeith Said:
Did you vote for either UKIP, BNP, Green, English Democrats, SNP(UK)?We Answered:
I voted for the United Kingdom Independence Party who, regretfully, came second best to the bloody Tory. It's a great shame upon the British electorate that we are in the political mess we appear to be headed for due to their failing to understand that the EU is destroying us and UKIP are the only true party fighting for Great Britain.Stanley Said:
What do you think about the English Democrats? We Answered:
They're another small nutty ultra right-wing group appealing to ex-Tories and ex-Ukippers, concealing a lot of reactionary nastiness behind their apparently innocent campaign for an English parliament. The Daily Mail and Express love them, especially in the shape of 'anti politically correct' Peter Davies, Mayor of Doncaster, who is one of EDP's leading lights and their only elected politician.
