The Lebanon Democrat

Todd Said:

Democrats, how would you handle the crisis in Lebanon?

We Answered:

Okay, cirque_de_lune, here ya go:

Under a UN disarmament resolution all persons are to disarm of all military weapons exciding the size of a standard issue police style side arm. There are to be no ketusha rockets, no AK-47s, no M-16s, No AR-15s, and no FNFALs.

The nation is split into two sectors. Each sector is separated by a one mile wide demilitarized zone. Anyone in the DMZ caught with any type of weapon is arrested for war crimes and can spend the rest of his miserable life in the Siberia.

Anyone wishing to remain in the southern portion of Lebanon bordering Israel has to pledge to their God, that they will not engage in any activity which will crate hostilities with Israel.

The DMZ areas are to be patrolled by UN peace keepers who have orders to take whatever action is required to keep the peace.

The UN forces at the Lebanon - Israeli border are to be comprised of Pilipino, Japanese, and Canadian forces.

The UN forces patrolling the rest of the region are to be from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt. They would be sensitive to the demands of the religious community in which they are working.

The Lebanese Christian population would be encouraged, enticed, and persuaded to move south toward the border to act as a buffer between Israel and Lebanon. They would, however, not be forced to move. The same with the Muslim in the south moving north and away from Israel.

At the same time, the corruption of the Lebanese secular government has to be addressed and eliminated so that the Lebanese do not have to rely on Hezbollah for a stable internal government.

That is it in a nut shell. I have left out some details, but I think you can get the gist of the situation.

Lynn Said:

Are Jews controlling too much of the Democratic Party and the News Media?

We Answered:

If the Jews were controlling too much of the Democratic Party, wouldn't the Democrats WANT the US to be involved in the conflict?

Granted that I don't know much about American politics, but I am an American Jew living in Israel, and I am very glad of the US's involvement.

It is nice to have one ally, one friend in the whole darn world who actually agrees that Israel has a right to defend itself from the thousands of missiles fired on it, from death and destruction. I mean, the whole north of Israel is mostly empty, except for some folks who are too old or too poor to go anywhere else. People's homes are destroyed. Is this a normal situation?!

I take comfort in the fact that at least the US believes we have a right to exist.

I have been watching a lot of the foreign news channels. I think that Fox News is supportive of Israel, while CNN and especially the BBC are very critical of Israel.

Incidentally, CNN reporters have admitted to giving anti-Israel reports, for fear of reprisal from Israel's enemies if they give a pro-Israel report.

Sad, but no matter which bias you think the news has -- pro or anti Israel -- you simply can never trust the media. It's always best to take their reports with a pretty large grain of salt.

Vera Said:

i will vote for Clinton but i am afraid that the Democrat will change their policy?

We Answered:

Clinton has a policy?
Her only policy is to get elected. Vote for her if you must, but you'll be trying to scrape the bumper sticker off your car within a year.

Marion Said:

Was Ronald Reagan the original RINO of the Republican party?

We Answered:

You forgot amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Kim Said:

Lebanon evacuees being charged for their evacuation?

We Answered:

Republicrats, Demopublicans, they are all socialists- the original bill was, as I recall, submitted by a Democrat in the house about 5 years ago, and passed both houses rather easily in a bipartisan fashion- if I am recalling correctly I saw the news report on it on Yahoo news. Don't actually have any links for you, but perhaps the time frame will help- you might also see about looking into the Congressional Record, maybe you can find it there.

Discuss It!
