Antonio Said:

What defines who is forcing what on whom when it comes to the same-sex marriage debate, being in the majority?

We Answered:

The majority is supposed to be the ones who have the power to define who can get married to whom -- that has always been the way it has been. Now, in the recent past, judges have written new marriage laws, legislating from the bench. That means that the ignored majority feels that the new laws were shoved down their throats. They're correct.

Cassandra Said:

democracy...........?

We Answered:

The topic on Democracy should be started with a statement on how democracy really existed. There is always a question on the extent on democracy on how the exercise of it should be limited. Democracy is basically the freedom of the sovereign to exercise it's civil and political rights in the community and it's involvement in the political issues not only with their government but also in the community where they belong. Direct democracy is like the direct involvement of a citizen in the movement of the government. Basic example of this is in a democratic country is the citizens of their country directly participated in the political issues and matters like the referendum during election, legislators tend to submit the draft of the law for the people for their approval, while on the other hand the deliberative democracy is the opposite of the direct democracy, In deliberative democracy, although the people has the freedom to be involved in the political issues, but they are just limited by the provision of the law and constitution.

Brent Said:

What is democracy and how is it different from other countries' political agenda?

We Answered:

You're correct.. a pure Democracy is bad.. It's like 2 wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.. However this country is not a Democracy... we are a Constitutional Republic (at least to date we are... that may not last long if the currant Administration has it's way) I suggest that you study the founding of this Country.. "The 5000 Year Leap" would be a good start.
