Who are the Blue Dog Democrats who seem to holding up health care reform? Names and states please?

I agree who are they? Finally a few Democrats with some common sense! We as Americans need to let them know how much we appreciate what they and the Republicans are doing to save our country from Barry and the liberals.

Tommy Said:

Who are the Blue Dog Democrats?

We Answered:

A group of Democrats in the House who are, pretty much, the most rightward-leaning of Democrats -- the ones least likely to be called "liberals."

Personally, I like to "measure" the degree of liberal-ness or conservative-ness of members of Congress by looking at their approval ratings as given by ADA -- Americans for Democratic Action -- and ACU -- American Conservative Union.

The group had 35 members as of 2 years ago. The average ACU score is 34.3% and the average ADA score is 73.3%. By "average," I mean that I calculated the scores for each Blue Dog over the course of their entire career in Congress (going back as far as I could, which was to say going back to 1981), and then I took all 35 members individual averages and averaged those numbers.

I should note that, in my view, there are 10 -- of those 35 Blue Dogs -- who shouldn't really belong to the group because they (those 10) have scores which are considerably more liberal than the other 25 Blue Dogs, and those 10 bring the curve more to the left. If I left out those 10 liberal Blue Dogs, and averaged only the 25 others, the average ACU score would go up about 5 percentage points and the average ADA score would go down about 8 percentage points.
