The younger people are, the greater is the tendency to think that the world should work the way it did when they were kids - where everything was handed to them, everyone (in their family) was taken care of, and they could scream and whine to get their way.

You aren't wrong. This country has been swinging closer and closer to socialism for years. The only difference is that it's much more flagrant and quick now, as other countries are beginning a move AWAY from socialism because they're realizing it's not working.

A Russian friend of mine recently warned me about the terms Socialist and Progressive. He said both of these terms are just softer ways of saying Communist.

There are many Dems out there that are becoming disillusioned. They're beginning to realize that, oops, we made a mistake, now what do we do? More will wake up as we go along. Hopefully it won't be too late.

What we do is VOTE THEM ALL OUT. If they're not working FOR THE PEOPLE, which, thus far, all of the dems and some of the republicans as well, are not, as proven by their recent track records, they do not deserve to keep their jobs.

BTW, I'm independent. I have never voted by party and never will.

WRONG. They call them bailouts, but the US GOVERNMENT is dictating everything. The banks are being allowed to run as they did, but the government has final say. That's not a bailout. That's control.
Same with the auto companies. Who do you think told them to shut down many of their dealers? They've made no secret that the government is a not so silent partner.
