2010 General Election

Jesse Said:

What can Gordon Brown and Labour do to win the 2010 general election?

We Answered:

OK can I answer this question SENSIBLY. I believe Gordon Brown could get back much of the support New Labour previously had if he would only recognise that the major concern of most voters in the UK is the overpopulation explosion that is crippling our education, housing and hospitals and exacerbating racial tensions. That is a major reason why many former Labour supporters are switching support to the BNP or UKIP. What has enfuriated people in Britain more than anything was the huge numbers flooding into this overcrowded island who speak little or no English from former Soviet Bloc countries like Poland because of the gross under estimation of the numbers that would come in, while other EU countries like France took measures to prevent that happening to them.

BUT recently the UK government and UK Parliament has now with Conservative and Labour support carried in the Act to bring the Australian points system with intent to restrict people coming here to work to those we need and to stop people from outside UK we do not need, who just want to take advantage of our over generous welfare benefits. That is the major cause of huge numbers of illegal immigrants and people from Commonwealth countries coming into UK rather than into any other country in the EU.

BUT because of EU Law, while this does apply to immigrants from Commonwealth countries and non Commonwealth nations outside Europe it does not apply to migrant workers from EU countries, so the likelihood is the overpopulation crisis will get very very much worse once the UK comes out of recession and the pound recovcers relative to the Euro, and most particularly when Turkey and other Islamic nations become part of the EU and are also just as eligible to come into UK to work.

What Brown should therefore do if he wants to regain the support of British voters is tell the EU Commission that the British government hereby decrees that the Australian points system has been carried by the UK Parliament so as from 2010 it applies to EU citizerns too and they can scream as much as they like but that is what Parliament in the UK has decided with support of the UK population. It will of course cause the most almighty row between the British government and the Commission in Brussels, but there is not too much they can do and it could well lead to support from EU countries like France and Ireland doing the same because their populations are similarly against migrant workers flooding into them from the east. it will also wrong foot the Conservatives who have abandoned the referendum on the Lisbon Treaty and given no indication of any desire to address the overpopulation issue because they actually want migrant workers from eastern Europe.

So it will highlight the fact that Brown is the political leader who is standing up for the rights of the British parliament and not Brussels to decide measaures that are paramount to the British population. I believe it will cause a furthert big swing towards Labour at the expense of the Conservatives Lib-dems, UKIP and BNP, if Brown has the courage and forthrightness to take on the EU Commisdssion on this issue and start representing the British people and our kith and kin from Commonwealth countries properly.
