Rudd and Gillard are the best thing that has happened to the Liberal Party.
Let me count the ways:
1. Seniors put off by remarks by Swan implying that they are living too long.
2. Education has been royally stuffed up by putting teachers off side by narrowing the curriculum to just teaching for a test.
3. Putting the drinking age up to 21 will alienate the youth.
4. The Climate tax has angered most people.
5. Even Abbott and his virginity speech won't save Rudd.

Before the election:
1. He will run a smear campaign against the ALP.
2. He will claim that he will keep interest rates low.
3. He will claim that the workplace relations system is fair and just.
4. He will then resort to claiming that only he can save Australia from terrorism.
5. He will support the troops, when it gets closer to election time he will try to withdraw the troops for a few votes.
6. If all that fails, he will re-create the Tampa.

Then WHEN he loses (not if):
1. He will blame everyone but himself.
2. He will write a 'tell all book' that no-one will want to read.
3. He will move to America and spend the rest of his days waiting for George Bush to propose.

As an Australian, I agree. I lived in the UK until 2006 and it was just the same - we were pretty much told what the US candidates ate for breakfast. Nobody stopped to ask "do we care?", much less "do the Americans watch our election coverage?" I'm betting 99 per cent of Americans couldn't even name the Australian PM.

Uh, no- Bush was elected for his second 4 year term. Bush will be forced out of office by law in 2 more years. A person can only be president 2 times, then they're banned for life by federal law
