Roy Said:
What time and channel on British TV can I see the final US election results? We Answered:
BBC International will be broadcasting it live. Otherwise you can watch the results coming in on CNN i.e. http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS/ for on the minute news. CNN promise to start reporting at 23.00h/11pm GMT(I think).Dorothy Said:
What was the British Newspaper headline about the 2004 election asking how voters could be so stupid? We Answered:

When will British people find out the result of the election? We Answered:
Probably the same time American's find out. It's amazing how fast information can get across the ocean these days!
Virginia Said:
Election results suit - is it not time to change the system and go for PR?We Answered:
FPTP's backers say "PR produces hung parliaments". Well FPTP has, and probably will do more often in future. We just have to deal with that. We should not put up with our votes in the rotten boroughs being pointless, or with parties getting twice as many seats as they deserve.FPTP only produces majorities by accident anyway.
Hopefully this is our last ever FPTP election.
Katherine Said:
British election results are weird.?We Answered:
Err they haven't won the most the votes and they don't control the fewest seats. That aside the answer lies in the 'first past the post' parlimentary system, under which you could (in theory) get 49.9% of all votes and win absoltuely no seats whatsoever. There are pros and cons to this system, but that's another question altogether.
To get the facts on how many votes each party has won, can I suggest you look here.

Diane Said:
When will the first results in the British election be known, and what website will have comprehensive results? We Answered:
There is always a race to produce the fastest count,so the first result could be any time from 10.45 tonight. After that,it's like pulling teeth until about midnight.
Several websites are good, but bbc.co.uk will have it all.
Edit: It was closer to 10.55 in the end.
Eugene Said:
when will the British elections results be announced? We Answered:
Results from each of the constituencies will be announced throughout the night of 6 May, except for the few constituencies that won't start counting until the day after. We should know the result from all constituencies by midday on 7 May. But what you consider to be the "result" is another thing entirely if that happens to result in a hung Parliament.
