Ryan Said:

Any one living in California what are your thoughts on Richard Aguirre?

We Answered:

I think he is an excellent choice, someone who understands the economical woes of the state and how to fix them is sorely needed. I will vote for Meg Whitman for that very reason and you should also she is an experienced business woman and Will be the next Governor.~

Jennifer Said:

Does the state of Illinois have the power to do a recall election on the Governor?

We Answered:

Your question is interesting. Since I do not live in Illinois, I am not familiar with its law regarding recall. As another responder points out Illinois is in the same credit status as CA. The only two states with a negative credit watch ratings. So, the governor will play with the feds for a week or two. Then the legislature will hear about the credit downgrade for the state. Then consider, individually, whether they will catch any gas by voting for impeachment. Gov Rod is really not promoting his self interest by failing to plea bargain. This ain't Chicago politics, anymore. Recall is wonderful tool for the people; but, it is really more appropriate in the case of Gov. G. Davis. Not someone who is facing a major federal criminal indictment, with quite a number of counts in the indictment, which appears to be the Gov. Rod case.

Juanita Said:

How long is the Governor's term in CA?

We Answered:

The Governors term ends when we decide we're tired of him. Ask Gray Davis.

Carole Said:

In the CA governor's race for the Dem nomination, why wasn't there a runoff, even though no one got +50%?

We Answered:

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that rule only applies to Louisana because they have a different legal system there then the rest of the country. It’s called the Louisiana Civil Code; it’s similar to the Napoleonic Code. It’s the only state in the union with this system.
