during the period of His Excellency Dr.APJ Abdul Kalaam a bill in respect of "office of profit" was amended by parliament with retrospective effect to safe guard several MPs of all parties and bill passed unanimously by parliament. it was sent to President for approval.

His Excellency Dr.APJ Abdul Kalaam wanted only one correction to remove retrospective effect and returned. but shamelessly it was sent back to President as it was sent earlier and president had to sign. so president need recommendations only and cannot act to will or wish.
