I asked a question years ago about corruption is southern part of Los angeles, and the ethnic make up of those cities. It seems worse there. DAR left me an excellent article, but it never answer the question of why it seems worse. The only solution, I can figure is diversity, so people would not just vote for their own kind. IN Los Angeles, illegal immigration would reduce diversity. In L.A.,there are groups of Hispanics that would bully those who don't fully support Villaragosa. There are many Hispanics who see him as a corrupt figure, but they won't speak out in public for fear of being attacked. It took me awhile to understand why every time I talk about politics, with a Hispanic, they look around before they respond. They even do it in their own home . What is worse, is that Villaragosa is destroying the Hispanic community that I use to hang around. He gets money from Developers to destroy Hispanic neighborhoods to move in White Yuppies. I was not to please when I saw what he was doing to downtown, and worse when he went to my grand fathers area and bully people to sell. Now he is going to neighborhoods where there are small Hispanic businesses that has been there for at least three generations and forcing them to leave with new codes so he can build even more condos, which we really don't need during this housing glut. And all these construction is being subsidized by the city which about to go bankrupt.
