Excellent that the City council of this small Nebraska town has the balls to enforce illegal immigration. I imagine crime will go down, hospitals will suddenly become profitable, schools will not have to hire bi-lingual teachers, jobs will open up for legal citizens, and the taxpayers won't have to pay for new schools for all the illegals kids. Wonderful idea!

It does not matter which party wins or loses. Neither party is going anywhere except out of favor for a few years.

In the 60s the democrats lost favor under Johnson
In the 70 the Republicans lost under favor Nixon
In the late 70s remember Jimmy Carter who killed the democratic party in only one term.
The eighty's were high in favor of Regan and the Republicans until daddy Bush lost it for them with "No new Taxes"
Then Bill Clinton has a good run it the 90s until it came time for Al Gore to run. Gore even lost his home state.

This goes on until we now have Obama (Jimmy Carter the second.)

You get the picture.

Obama will crash and burn and the pendulum will swing back to the other side again.

I agree, this does represent some progress. However a few more things need to happen Like Texas returning to its Democratic roots as represented in the tradition of Ann Richards, Ralph Yarborough, Maury Maverick and Henry Gonzalez . What needs to happen next is the election of a Democratic Senator as well as Governor. Also it would be better .if Sen Kay Bailey Hutchinson defeated Rick Perry , the current Governor in the Republican Primary.Rickjust like his puppet master George Bush loves to execute people, whether guilty or innocent.Sen Hutchinson is probably a little more civilized n this regard, but still she is a right wing Republican
