Election Polls Uk

Cheryl Said:

I'm not really understanding the polls for the UK general election?

We Answered:

The short answer is labour will probably win (I hope am wrong!)

Well look at it like this, if the election was a race like in athletics the tories were in the lead but they seem to have stopped running with the finishing line in view, now labour is catching up. The tories are still in the lead but the chance of a personal best is gone, the chance of a good time score is gone, all the time labour are catching up. They are throwing away their hope and our hope.

To put it simple I think the tories have thrown away their chance, remember a year back Cameron would have washed labour aside. But I think (btw I am pro-tory) the are being their own worst enemy.

Maybe the recession has saved Brown and labour because with no recession then the tories would not have terrified the people with cuts and I think the tories would have won with a massive majority and done their job to mend Broken Britain.
To be honest I do not think the tories are trying or putting much effort in. They have stopped running. Maybe with cuts Cameron is being honest which is cool, because Brown will do the same in the end, labour will bring cuts or spend the UK into another recession.
But I think its wrong the tories are not trying and seem to have given up, its wrong for them to condemn Britain to another 5 years of labour! Certainly they will not find any leader as strong as Cameron and I doubt they will ever in most of our lifetimes be in government, practcally making Britian a one party (labour) state.

If 2010 is a labour victory 2015 and 2020 will also be labour victories.

Pedro Said:

What difference will 'The Sun' deciding not to back Labour at the next UK general election make?

We Answered:

The Sun just go for whoever they think will win. It might win a few extra votes, but it won't change the outcome of the election.

It's quite sad, to be honest. The tools who vote for whatever the Sun tells them to are going to be the exact same who get screwed over the most by Cameron.

Albert Said:

What would the conservatives have to do to not win the next election?

We Answered:

Something very spectacular but still so many of the electorate want Labour out I don't think anything will make a difference.

In fact the only thing they could do to lose the next election is ignore the feelings & concerns of the electorate.

Cody Said:

Are they counting the UK election votes already, or do they wait until polling finishes at 10pm and then start?

We Answered:

All ballot papers are 'posted' in a sealed box which is taken to a counting station at 10 p.m. Only then does the counting begin. All boxes from any particular constituency are taken to a central facility (often the Town hall and Various constituencies race to be the first to 'declare.

Janet Said:

How do I find out information about the candidates for my local election? (UK)?

We Answered:

You mean you haven't had tons of junk mail through your door, you lucky person....go online, you may find something there.

Lena Said:

Who is the lowest ever polling UK parliamentary candidate in a general election?

We Answered:

Catherine Taylor-Dawson of the "rainbow dream ticket" party got one vote in Cardiff North in 2005

which is actually quite impressive
