Doesn't this prove that the UK's 'First Past the Post' voting system is a joke?We Answered:
Completely agree - even more unfair when you consider that the Republic of Ireland has a single transferable voting system of proportional representation.Alma Said:
Is Britain broken when 50% of the UK electorate want to leave the UK?We Answered:
My answer is simple, no it is not broken. If someone does not like it here they can always leave. In my opinion, there is no better place to live. The grass always looks greener abroad, and for some it is. I work with people and often some say that they would like to move away from here. But when I ask them where, most are stumped. We have the NHS, a low crime rate (but yes, it is too high), and compared with many nations on mainland Europe low taxation.
Britain is great. It can be so much better. Lets work together to make it so. But if anyone wants to leave, sod off.

Will the result of the May 6 UK election be that the next one will be democratic? We Answered:
Yes I would prefer a better system of Democracy - the main reason I voted labour in 97 as they promised electoral reform - 13 years latter I'm still waiting.Edit - I wonder why exporting Democracy means introducing a PR system when we have an antiquated 1st past the post system.
