It is good to have a balance.
It should not be all one party or the other.

Every few elections a republican gets in here.
Add to that, dislike of the incumbent, corruption, low voter turnout.... etc.

I don't look at national politics when deciding on my vote in a local election.

I am from Illinois, and thanks to our idiot impeached governor I will find it next to impossible to vote for a dem even though I am a total Obama supporter. Local and national are different questions, different issues, different concerns.
