Elections in India and self is above everything?

We Answered:

each one, teach one!!!
mate, its a very nice question...
jus think for a moment....
if you want to stay in a Game, you have to smart and fast....
we as a New Generation, are far more Intelligent, can communicate well, can understand the life better, think about the future and the coming generation, here is one point,
to be in todays competition, it will be way better to way Educated Politicians, over non-educated ones.....
I mean, it would be a relief, if you know that you PM or President can read a Financial Times newspaper in English and can understand the World Eco. as well.....
jus not selling Electricity or water to other fellow states....
in my Opinion India will nedd another 30-40 years to be a uncorrupted Nation, till all these Old Schoolers die or settle a life in Hell!!!
thanks

Is IPL cricket trying to arm wrestle with conduction of elections in India, which is the soul of democracy?

We Answered:

I admire the fact that in India the government is the ultimate repository of state power. It won't have been a good thing if India was a totalitarian state but it's very good for a democratic state because the rule of law is still respected. But the reason I mentioned about the government's ultimate power is that it guarantees that it can't be strong armed by any entity in the country - maybe except for the courts but that is legitimate. The BCCI is mighty within the world of cricket but it does not wield enough power, influence or resources to take on the government of India in what is a national political issue. Therefore the BCCI has to submit to the wishes of the government not the other way around. Hence BCCI has to hold off or re-adjust the IPL.
