General Election 2010 Candidates

Lynn Said:

Hard left Tusc coalition to stand against Labour in 40 constituencies, do you agree this is good news?

We Answered:

I think it is great news. It shows that there is an alternative to the programme put forward by all three main parties of making us pay for the fat cats' economic crisis with public sector cuts and sends a message to politicians that we are not prepared to put up with sleaze and expenses scandals any more.

Vote for TUSC, not for cuts!

Clara Said:

2010 Iowa Governor Candidate Bob Vander Paats threatens to end gay marriage in Iowa with an executive order?

We Answered:

He should on the grounds alone that it's still a civil rights violation.

A gay law is still a violation of civil rights of all the other sexual orientations, such as it denies bisexuals from having pluralistic marriages, and close relatives, such as sisters, from marrying.

Mildred Said:

If Labour lose on Thursday 6th May, who should be their new leader?

We Answered:

I don't know, but unless they radically change their policies - I hope it's somebody else unelectable.

Eileen Said:

Roughly what % of 2010 Republican primaries do you expect to involve a Tea Party-backed candidate?

We Answered:

Even if a tea-party canidate wins, we still have to go through the bush recession + obamas 1.4 trillion dollar waste.

Id rather Obama just **** himself.

Fillabuster + 3 or 4 including Peter Schiff would be perfect.

Freddie Said:

Did Democrats think they would beat Republicans by calling GOP primary winners "too extreme" to win a general?

We Answered:

That's a fair point, and the wave will likely carry quite a few of these "Tea Party" folks into office. Not all of them, but certainly a fair share. The next question will be their long term viability. "Wave" elections typically elect large majorities of one party, that do not last. Just as 2006 & 2008 were Democratic wave elections, and 2010 will certainly cut down their numbers considerably. In the process, however, with this Republican wave election, which could last for another cycle, maybe more, maybe less, but inevitably, once again, the tide will again sweep back toward the center eventually and many of these candidates may have trouble winning re-election when the time comes. Its just a basic political trend.

I guess my advice would be, enjoy it while it lasts.
