UK General Elections 2010?We Answered:
107 in fox years.UKIP.
I'm fed up of being bossed around by Lib/Lab/Con and Brussels. It's time to take our country back where it belongs, in the safe hands of the British people.
Julio Said:
What are the issues, outcomes, and effects of the November 2010 General Election? We Answered:
It's unclear at this point what the core issues will be since we are talking about 36 or 37 state elections which may or may not be moved by national politics. The potential outcomes range from the Democrats picking up one or two seats to the Republicans picking up nine or ten. Both extremes are unlikely, and the most probable result will be the Republicans picking up 3 or 4 which would basically duplicate the current situation of Democrats setting the agenda but the Republicans controlling what passes.
There are some who think that the Republicans picking up two or three seats might make it easier to pass legislation since it would give Republican moderates (the few who are left) the swing vote on issues, and increase their ability to work as a group. (The theory is that it is harder for Democrats to give enough to get 4 or 5 Republican votes when they only need 1 to pass legislation, but it is harder to get just 1 since nobody wants to be the only Republican supporting a bill.)
Greg Said:
