Local Government Elections
Jimmie Said:
UK local government elections....?We Answered:
I heartily concur with the askers 'Disgust'! Because:-Upon the Ballot paper for "Local Council Election concerning the Ward I live in"
I am asked to cast 2 Votes amongst a Candidates list consisting of 5 persons:-
2 x Conservative Candidates:
2 x Liberal-Democrat Candidates:
1 x Labour Candidate:
HOWEVER THE 2 X LIB-DEMS ARE 18 YEAR OLD TWINS {Brother & Sister}:-
{The Brother works in a local "MACDONALDS Take-away" the Sister is in her 2nd year at a nearby TECHNICAL College"}
These 2 unfortunate individuals are hoping that the fact that they are the first 18 year old twins to stand for election are enough to swing the electorate to vote in their favour:
Anyone who voices their opposition to these inexperienced & juvenile candididates are advised to "Stand for Election Themselves" instead of being critical:-
"Fair Comment"!
Unfortunately the majority of people; are not capable of being as Economimical-with-the-Truth and as easily Corrupted as so many of the long term Local Councillors within the District Council which governs the area in which I live!
Laura Said:
do non partisan elections remove the politics from local government? We Answered:
No.Nothing can remove the politics from local government.
I live in Pittsurgh.
There hasn't been a republican on city council in my lifetime, and they have more poltics and crap than you can ever imagine.

The local government elections are coming up in the U.K. Will you be voting for the B.N.P. ?We Answered:
If anyone votes for the BNP, they will be put on a hit list by the government, and if you work in a government job you will be forced to resign . they don't want the BNP to gain any support. That is democracy working! You can only vote for a party who don't say anything about the true state of our immigration policy's. I don't agree with all their policy's .but immigration is out of control. ME I don't vote anybody, as The main party's are as corrupt as Any African government, they just do it in a different way. Like Cherri Blair's haircut. £7500 for 1 weekEmma Said:
Why does the British National Party put up candidates for local government elections? We Answered:
Private has answered your question about why they stand, but just to correct one thing, no council is "in fact BNP dominated".Barking has 12 BNP councillors out of 51 (38 Labour).
Stoke has 9 BNP councillors out of 60
Burnley has 4 BNP councillors out of 45 (23 Liberal)
Epping Forest has 4 BNP councillors out of 57 (32 Conservative)
Sandwell has 2 BNP councillors out of 72 (48 Labour)
Dominated?
Did I forget to mention that the BNP are a bunch of racist thugs?
EDIT YA-SAI - Can you provide any evidence ( a link or similar ) of one single black, Asian or Arabic BNP member? No, of course you can't. You just made that up.
EDIT REDMONK: We all know you worship the ground that St Nick treads, but describing the beliefs of the BNP as a theology is going a little far!
You are right to highlight the shortcomings and lies of other parties and their supporters. What about those of your own party and supporters?
Redmonk - I don't have the answers. I'd be PM if I did. I don't believe any of the main parties have the answers either. We are agreed on something at least.
Do I say 'we have no problem with immigration'? No, I don't. I believe immigration needs to be managed in a way that allows our infrastructure to cope with demographic changes. I believe that immigration must reflect the labour needs of our economy. I believe that ways must be found of getting some immigrants to UK to assimilate.
I don't accept the BNP idea, the reality of which would be "Stop all immigration of dark skinned people".
I don't say:'' I dont know what all the fuss is about, the majority of Britons want to go into Europe.'' I accept that I'm in a minority in believing that our economic future is so tied to the European community, and that to dissociate ourselves from Europe would be a disaster. As new nations join the EU, we may find ourselves facing difficulties, but long term I think all nations benefit from EU membership. There is much corruption and fraud in Europe but walking away from it changes nothing. We should work within Europe to end it.
I don't accept that BNP's "leave the EU" stance would benefit UK.
I don't say: ''Fraud! what are you talking about their is no fraud in our goverment''. Of course there are people whose only aim is to line their own pockets, of course there is fraud. I don't accept your view that they're all at it. I think most MPs, of all parties, enter the house with mostly honourable intentions and find their principles eroded by the circumstances of government. I believe most fraud occurs not at MP level, but at a local level and within the civil service, where government is carried out far less under the microscope of publicity.
It's easy for Griffin to say he'll banish fraud, but why should we believe him? There are BNP councillors in Dagenham who have been found guilty of benefit fraud against the council they represent. Has he banished them? Of course not.
I can't tell you which party will be listening to the average guy on the street - the average guy on the street must decide that for himself. I don't feel that any of the three main parties do this. The closest seems (and only seems, I can't claim to know enough to form a proper judgment) to be the SNP in Scotland, and they are flawed.
But just because I don't claim to have the answers and you do, doesn't mean you're right.
You might not like the terms but the BNP leadership seek to exclude non-white citizens from our land. They are racists. They want to divide the working man using race hate as their weapon. They are not the answer, unless the average guy in the street is a white supremacist, who wants his non-white neighbours persecuted, and doesn't mind if violence is used as a political tool.
And, I don't claim to be the average guy in the street, but I don't think that's what he wants. Which is why the BNP will never represent more than a tiny minority.
