Ma Senate Election

Gertrude Said:

Is it possible the Republican candidate could win the MA special election for Kennedy's Senate seat?

We Answered:

As a native of Massachusetts who lived there until 5 years ago, I don't think they would elect a republican to the senate. Mass. does have a history of electing republican governors though.

@gws 35 - the mandatory health insurance law was implemented by Republican Mitt Romney
The only person I know who calls it Taxachusetts, is a conservative who lives in Wisconsin

I live in South Carolina in the winter and the taxes here make Massachusetts look like a free ride. EVERYTHING here is taxed including groceries, clothing and services, most of that at 7.5%. Income tax here 7.5% also higher than Mass.

Jacqueline Said:

Why do you think Obama flip-flopped on his decision not to campaign in the MA special election for U.S. Senate?

We Answered:

If his trip "of influence" goes as well in Boston as his 2 trips did in Copenhagen - I wouldn't give a "Schilling" for the chances of the dullard Coakley winning. These trips also had flip flop aspects - to go or not - the fatal flaw in each was his GOING.

Terrance Said:

What are the chances that Healthcare fails because GOP win Senate seat in MA special election on 1/19/2010?

We Answered:

Good question. How about if Robert Byrd is dead or in a coma?

Barry Said:

If the MA Senate vote wasn't a referendum on Obamacare, why did 56% say it was the most important issue?

We Answered:

It was the most important issue in the Ma race and was a referendum by We the people

John Said:

Do you think Scott Brown's win in the MA Senate Special election emboldened Democrats?

We Answered:

Democrats realized that compromise wasn't the way to go, since most of the country wanted healthcare reform.
