Midterm Elections 2010

Dwight Said:

Do you think that BP will pickup or lose seats in the 2010 Midterm Elections?

We Answered:

BP is definitely picking up a few seats but not as many as GOP had predicted.

After Joe Barton's comments + GOP hate/fear rhetoric, Democrats will be doing better now in the November 2010 elections.

Leroy Said:

Who is looking forward to Gridlock when the Republicans gain majorities in the 2010 midterm elections?

We Answered:

I am! The economy and the country is better off when one party does not control the government. I liked the Clinton years where the repubs and the dems were so busy trying to stab each other in the back that they left me alone.

Charles Said:

How will the Tea Party Movement effect the 2010 midterm elections?

We Answered:

Well, for one thing, they've backed some pretty fringe candidates. Senator Bennett from UT was defeated in the state Republican caucus by a Tea Party groups. Several other tea party favorites have defeated Republican establishment candidates. Sharron Angle, for example, was not the Republican Party's choice to run against Harry Reid in Nevada. But Tea Party support got her the nomination. And she's doing sooooo good!

Jo Said:

Will Democrats distancing themselves from Obama during the 2010 Midterm elections?

We Answered:

Yes they will be. Some aklready are. Even Reid said there's no hurry on passing the Healthcare Bill..

Heidi Said:

Republicans to gain seats in the 2010 midterm elections?

We Answered:

Historically, the opposition party always takes congressional seats from the party in power in a mid term election. History has a tendency to repeat itself. The mid term election isn't a presidential election. And voters for the party in power have little motivation to come out and vote. You can start worrying if the Republicans don't take any seats in the upcoming election. And if they lose seats, that's really bad.

Kathleen Said:

How much influence do you believe the Tea Party had on the 2010 midterm elections?

We Answered:

One of the main purposes of the Tea Party was to get the voters out.

And that they did.

Largest turn out for Mid Term election in History.

Charles Said:

How will The Tea Party influence the 2010 midterm elections ?

We Answered:

We will know better after the primaries in Kentucky and Indiana next month. My hunch is that they will defeat some good Republicans in the primaries, but only in a handful of states. Those primary results might be worth an extra two to three seats in the Senate and five or six in the House for the Democrats in November. We saw the same results in 2008 when the folks who currently support the Tea Party were responsible for costing the Republicans several seats in the House.
