In voting, we had to make decisions. But my decision was not the decision of others.
If that song would just pinpoint a single candidate who would change the image of the whole Philippines, It would be nice.

i am high school student in Cebu and my favorite subject is social studies. Up until the day of elections, as an unregistered voter i was hoping that Filipinos would think and vote wisely. i should owe the voters a lot because this is also for my future but i didn't like the results. although im not being biased here, but i think majority of the people used their hearts not their minds. although its not as bad as it sounds (listening to your heart) but in our situation today, we should be practical and rather use our minds over our hearts. i have been researching, reading and watching news daily and try to find out who really is the best for our country. for the national elections especially for presidential candidates, i found out that there are really only two best qualified for these positions, GORDON and GIBO. i was really hoping for either of them to win but i guess im disappointed with the people, the majority for these results. why i was able to say they used their hearts because they based their votes on emotions and popularity without even thinking what will be the outcome. with noynoy overcoming the others and erap above all the others, i mean, why? wake up people! i have no bad things about noynoy, but i dont really think he has the ability to lead the country. and for erap i think the concept for him running is already bullshit!. i wonder why he has a lot of votes? is this for real? i mean, what are those people thinking? This afternoon, i was riding a jeepney and 4 people were talking about the results of the election. they were all for noynoy from their words. "Gibo is intelligent but he can start a martial law since he got good hands in the army", one man said. Ok, martial law, but if you must read the constitution, yes a president can really declare martial law but with certain conditions, he can't just declare it if it unconstitutional. people must really read the constitution. if that's you're way of thinking then we can never really step up. people put fear over trust which is really a downfall. he also mentioned of danding, teodoro's uncle, who is a marcosian and related it to martial law. i wanted to tell him, don't you have your research? danding did not support Gibo. "Look at Manny Villar, he still didn't won even though popular people are endorsing him, Dolphy, Pacman, Willie and Michael V., people really now are thinking and used their minds in voting", the lady sitting beside the man said. In my way of thinking since they are all for noynoy, i want to tell them something but i didn't because i did not want trouble. in my point of view, they are still not thinking really. if people are really thinking, Gordon or Gibo would've be on top. I mean, they only fear of corruption and that martial law thing. well in fact if people think it logically, its not only noynoy who has less motivation and reason for corruption. Gordon is a dedicated man to the country. He has that quality. Gibo has morals, he comes from a nice family. Eddie Villanueva has also less motivation to take money for the government. why him? why noynoy? why do you trust this man? back in the days before election, i have been asking people, why do you trust noynoy and what do you think he can do as president? people always answered as if they can't say a thing and can't really stand to their decision. some only says he is not corrupt. ok ok... i guess the real answer is this. They love Cory. I mean im thinking logically here.. they want cory back. those who chose noynoy votes CORY and not him! All in all, I can say the Majority of the Filipinos did not think a lot, theyv'e wasted the opportunity to have a government they want. all on all im not satisfied with the results. i hate to say it but i don't like the way filipinos think. im turning 18 in 2011 and i think i do not want to become a registered voter if i can't withstand millions of filipinos who could not think carefully before they vote.
