Voting In The General Election
Walter Said:
Women: Will you be voting in the general election? We Answered:
Kit22
I don't live in a city, but I suppose London would be the closest.
Yes
I think it's important for everyone, regardless of gender, to vote.
The economy, student fees (I'm a student), and the EU.
None of the leaders would make a brilliant PM, but I think Brown has proved himself to be incapable of running the country, and it's time to give someone else a go. After all, we don't have a presidential system, and it's important to take into account everyone in the potential cabinet, not just one person.
Yes. In a constituency near me, the MP at the moment only won by 15 votes, which really shows that every vote counts. Also, if you don't vote then in my opinion you have no right to complain, as you did nothing to stop it. Something like 60% of us vote - if those other 40% did vote, it would really make a difference - we could even end up with a Liberal Democrat government, or a Green government! After all, at the last election Labour only got something like 30% of the potential votes, so those 40% who don't vote really could, collectively, make a difference.
