There's a huge difference between Democrats and Republicans. If you don't see it, you're not looking very hard. Republicans have used the filibuster far more than Democrats ever did. They've held up far more court appointees and acted just down right childish.

Over the past 30 years, Republicans have convinced much of the public that they should be grateful to the wealthy for their jobs. Republicans like to proclaim that without a rich investor there would be no jobs. But that couldn't be further from the truth. Without workers, there would be no wealthy. They have convinced us that expiration of a tax cut on the wealthiest 2% would be a job killer. The unwritten false conclusion is that when their taxes go back up to pre-2001 levels, jobs will cease to be created because the wealthy will hide their money in their mattresses instead of continuing to invest.
