Rush Limbaugh will be the downfall of the GOP. He is doing nothing but chasing more people away from the republican party with his racist and divisive views. He claims to be an expert on everything but his views show he knowledgeable of nothing.

Get the party back in touch with reality. The Republicans really are out of touch with the conservative base. We are tired of hearing the same old stuff and seeing nothing done. We want to see what they are going to do, not what the other guy is going to do and why that's bad.

We have this wonderful thing called TECHNOLOGY...Obama used it to his full advantage and connected with more people than ever before, for free. This party needs to get into this century. They still have a message that a majority of this country agrees with...but they don't spread that message effectively or in a way Americans want to hear.


McCain could have won this election by doing a few simple things, but he used old GOP strategy:
1. He abandoned everything he stood for, which was straight talk and a maverick approach to politics. He handed his campaign over to the GOP and they ran it like they ran Bush's...negative. People didn't want to see another Bush and they didn't want to hear why they shouldn't vote for someone, they want to hear why we should vote for you.
2. He didn't use technology. Obama was connecting with voters every way he could, on Facebook, MySpace, through his website and even through their cell phones! He has been the first guy to really use every media tool he had available to connect to people and spread his message.
3. Palin was a terrible pick. She is way to far to the right even for me and I'm pretty conservative. This country is a conservative leaning society, just a little right of center...but nobody wants someone in control that is that extreme. He could have won the election with Lieberman, Huckabee or maybe even Romney.


Josh, you actually couldn't be further from the truth. Did you read the article today about Obama thinking about removing executive orders which keep general tax dollars from going to organizations that support abortion? That is a HUGE blow to the pro-life movement. We also had 2 conservative supreme court justices added during Bush's term...now we'll probably see two pro-choice judges from Obama...another HUGE blow. You need to all realize abortion is still a huge issue. It isn't about Roe v Wade. I agree with that ruling, it upholds the constitution and that is what our government should do. However there are still lots of battles going on regarding abortion. Government funding of pro-choice groups is one. Definition of life is really the biggest one and there is a bill out right now that is about exactly that. If you can define life at conception, abortion is murder...that would end the abortion argument....so tell me, how is abortion not worth basing my vote on?

I would never wish another terrorist attack on American soil, but the liberals in this country need to wake up. Terrorism is a real threat to this country.
