Hillary Clinton 2008

Darryl Said:

What if, during 2008, Hillary Clinton went up against Romney?

We Answered:

Clinton would have won just as easily as Obama did.

Herman Said:

John McCain / Hillary Clinton 2008?

We Answered:

Not only would he NOT ask, but she would never be VP to anyone. She's way too ambitious to settle for Vice President.

Bobby Said:

Presidential election 2008, Hillary Clinton should win?

We Answered:

Not only should she win
She will win before all is said and done

Leslie Said:

Democrats; Suppose Hillary Clinton Won the 2008 Presidential Election?

We Answered:

Well, I'm a Dem who supported Hillary and who happens to think Obama isn't doing doing too well as a leader and president.

I think we would've been better off with Hillary for a heap of reasons, but I'll try and go through what I think are the main points. Firstly - and a lot of people never liked this idea - but I was one of the people who thought having Bill as a popular two term ex-President in the background would work in Hillary (and therefore the country's) favor if she'd been elected.

Hillary also proved herself to a lot of people (including Republicans) as a hard-working and effective in Senator. Her time on the Senate Armed Services Committee and experiences as First Lady meant that she had established a vast array of networks with leaders who could've helped her get things done as POTUS.

Like her husband, politically she would have governed from the center, and most importantly, she would've been assertive and not afraid to back down from the political battles that need to be had in Washington from time to time to make sure the government stays the course. She would've already known how to navigate Washington and could've 'hit the ground running' with Bill advising along the way to speed things along.

So it all made sense to me. But then in comes Obama (with one term in Congress) and what I thought was a wafer-thin list of accomplishments. To me it was all these nice flowery words on the campaign trail, which turned out to translate into more words and a not too assertive looking leader in government. He just seems like a 21st Century Jimmy Carter.

Long story short, I think Hillary would've got more done and sooner.

Virgil Said:

Did the Democrats destroy their party by selecting Extremist Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton in 2008?

We Answered:

No, but they certainly set it back some.

Eddie Said:

If Hillary Clinton had been elected president in 2008 instead of Obama do you think she would have tried to p?

We Answered:

She was the main force behind the bill Pres Clinton tried to pass and it was a much better bill.
