Illinois Republican Party
Lonnie Said:
Why won't Hillary voters support the senator from Illinois? We Answered:
They will, it will just take time. Right now all that people see is Hillary and Obama in competition with each other. After some time has passed people will begin to realize the fact that McCain (who I admire) has unfortunately chosen the direction of continuing Bush's failed policies and would set women's rights back decades.Jerome Said:
Is Obama planning an October suprise for the Republican party? We Answered:
Such as ripping McCain a new one in the debates? I think he will expose McCain's temper and lack of ideas and voters will see his many flaws.Marsha Said:
Are you getting sick of the fighting between dems and repubs? We Answered:
The idea is that, once elected (especially if by a landslide), it is their mandate to enact the ideals and ideas they had espoused during their campaign. The voters speak by majority, and when it comes between voting yea or nay on a bill, they represent the majority (ideally, anyway) when they submit their vote on a bill. The Illinois Senators were elected (well, one of them was appointed after former Democratic senator Obama was elected president) because of the ideals they hold as democrats, and are expected to represent those ideals. Fortunately, the same holds true for republican senators who are elected by a republican majority. Unfortunately for you, you're a republican living in a state that usually leans strongly to the left as a whole.
