I know what you mean and you are absolutely correct. I think those women, experienced as they are, would not have been as malleable as Palin. Her inexperience actually made her a perfect victim. She's eager to move up but hasn't put in the time yet. He tapped her to appeal to women, appeal to conservatives.

Mr. 'I'm suspending my campaign to go to Washington to save the world" picked a running mate who, if he could not complete his term, would be ill-equipped to be president.

He picked her to win the race, be president, not to be a good leader of the country. It may turn out to be a crap shoot but whatever happens, my respect for him took a nosedive.
