And so they have longer forums where these things are commented on by pundits and observers. It will be repeated even more because Sotomayor is obviously a huge news item in Latino press. So I think these kinds of comments that people think are isolated and embarrassing actually could have a real impact culturally. And I always think pop culture has a greater impact that policy or politics."

Some of my favorite endorsements of Obama are Susan Eisenhower, grand daughter of Dwight Eisenhower, Caroline Kennedy, daughter of John Kennedy, Paul Volker, former Fed Chairman.

Yes

When the driver of the car you are in is accelerating towards a cliff and cracking jokes, you need to be in the front seat to grab the wheel and hit the brakes.

If a republican had cracked a joke about making someone sit at the back of the vehicle, the outraged screams of "Racist!" and reference's to Rosa Parks would have been deafening.

His car analogy is however an apt one, just not in the way he would like to use it.
