Mark Said:

Are we one step closer to a theocratic dictatorship?

We Answered:

I understand your frustration, but theocratic dictatorship? No. Our corporations wield far too much power to ever allow a dictatorship. The Christian right's power has been surging and George Bush has acted as a puppet of sorts, but the power will soon wane. Religion tends to experience waves of popularity (18th century revivals, the 50's, and now) and always increases in membership and power during times of increased fear. Given the current state of our oil-based policies in the Middle East and the subsequent actions they have caused, people are scared. So they turn to God and demand action from the government. Thus, George Bush.

Bush has swiped more executive power than any previous pres, but we can already see the backlash and the Republican controlled Congress is swiftly losing prestige, and will eventually lose its death grip on the power.

Let's hope...

Americans to come out of the shadows and remind Washington every day in words and actions that we are a sovere

We Answered:

That's quite a diatribe of unrelated events.
Don't expect that revolution any time soon.

Nathan Said:

Is this a small win for anti immigration?

We Answered:

Yes it is. I think people somehow view it as racist to not reward people in the US illegally. In fact, I'm tempted to use this argument the next time I'm in traffic court - "but your honor, if we can give amnesty to those illegally using resources and living in our country without paying taxes, then I deserve amnesty for my speeding ticket."

However, Bush baby and his team of morons know good and well that our economy is extremely dependent on Mexican workers. I do support giving them legal work permits. Such permits would give them some limited protections against being taken advantage of by employers, but should also limit access to public resources and not allow for their children to be born as citizens (which would require a constitutional ammendment).

To not do so would cause tremendous inflation. No..you're not going to get prisoners to work our orchards and fields (ever try to get good work out of a captive workforce..ain't gonna happen) and home prices would skyrocket if contractors were limited to totally legal workers.

And yes, I do think the construction industry needs to clean out its illegal work force. In border states, the widespread use of illegal labor has kept wages down for decades, thus no one views it as an honorable trade anymore.

I have no problem with paying more for construction but as the wife of an electrical contractor in TX, I can tell you that HE has huge problems getting workers that are worth a darn (no he doesn't use illegal labor). The current wages probably have a lot to do with the lack of quality labor but he's even tried paying more than prevailing wages and there is just not a pool of good workers anymore. It would temporarily cripple the industry but maybe that change is worth it.

Like Bill Maher said "let's see Bush try to build a 2000 mile long fence without using Mexican labor."

Vickie Said:

Why is this Republican saying 9/11 was a simple fire that the Feds didn't have to bother with?

We Answered:

This whole mess is unraveling faster than Washington can control right now. Won't be long till a criminal tribunal happens, and half if not more of these vampires are locked up.

Warren Said:

Could Conservatives please comment on their reactions to the racist joke about Michelle Obama by a GOP staffer?

We Answered:

I'm appalled by the GOP's staffers comments. In no way do I want him in politics!
And I'm a TRUE conservative so I voted Libertarian last election, haha. Republicans are just to stupid to see what's going on.

And Letterman's 'jokes' weren't as bad because he's not a political candidate and they were just jokes that people got too heated about. But I'm glad he apologized (as he should have) and that Palin accepted. What's WORSE is the protesters saying Letterman's a pedophile and that he's raping people's children, WTF?!

Discuss It!
