The GOP used to be a party that represented strong military defense, support for our troops, and limited government spending. Today's GOP represents reckless foreign policies, arrogant diplomacy, incomprehensible deficit spending, intermixing of church and state, endless wars, and basically doing everything they can to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

Currently the GOP has less than 1/2 the house, less than 1/2 the senate, and will soon be loosing the white house. They will be back in power eventually, but hopefully when that happens they won't be the party they've been for the last 8 years. I think there is some hope for the GOP to clean up their act and be an okay political party again and a new generation of GOP candidates might be better than the current generation.
