I'm right there with you Robert. The problem is that our Republican candidates no longer support us on these issues.

As far as Liberals. IMHO they tend to try to throw money at problems instead of addressing the root of the problem. Look at historically Liberal programs like Welfare and Public Education. They are severely broken and the only solution I have ever heard from local to Federal Government Liberal politicians is they need more money. There has never, in my lifetime, been a cut to the budget of these programs. There has only been a smaller than normal increase that was called a cut and it has never been smaller than the Cost of Living Increase plus population increase. Explain to me how they do not have enough money to operate effectively at this point.

Edit - Peter und der Wolf's, why is it people like you assume just because our positions on issues are contrary to your's that we believe in what we are told. I think if you go out and talk with most Conservatives you will find they are very articulate about their views on the issues.
