How To Vote Liberal

Stanley Said:

Republicans, what exactly stops you from voting Liberal?

We Answered:

Allow some of my Capitalist friends to explain if for me.

"Every time the government attempts to handle our affairs, it costs more and the results are worse than if we had handled them ourselves."
—Benjamin Constant

"The holier-than-thou activists who blame the population for not spending more money on their personal crusades are worse than aggravating. They encourage the repudiation of personal responsibility by spreading the lie that support of a government program fulfills individual moral duty."
—Patrick Cox

"The welfare state cannot operate without the police state."

—John T. Flynn

"And the reason good intentions go awry is because you're spending somebody else's money."

"There is a sure-fire way to predict the consequences of a government social program adopted to achieve worthy ends. Find out what the well-meaning, public-interested persons who advocated its adoption expected it to accomplish. Then reverse those expectations. You will have an accurate prediction of the actual results."

"I support a government that stays out of my wallet and out of my bedroom."

—Milton Friedman

"A government big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away."
—Barry Goldwater

"That is the paradox of dogmatic liberalism: Though it loudly declares itself a champion of the weak; it is actually an unrelenting truncheon of the strong."
—George Grant

"A policy of freedom for the individual is the only truly progressive policy."
—F. A. Hayek

"Taxes are not levied for the benefit of the taxed."

"The greatest productive force is human selfishness."

"The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire."

"An animal so poor in spirit that he won't even fight on his own behalf is already an evolutionary dead end; the best he can do for his breed is to crawl off and die, and not pass on his defective genes."

—Robert A Heinlein

"If we are made in some degree for others, yet in a greater are we made for ourselves. It were contrary to feeling, and indeed ridiculous, to suppose that a man has less right to himself than one of his neighbors, or indeed all of them put together. This would be slavery, and not that liberty which the bill of rights has made inviolable, and for the preservation of which our government has been charged."
—Thomas Jefferson

"Anyone who thinks he has a better idea of what's good for people than people do is a swine."

"Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys."

"The free market is ugly and stupid, like going to the mall; the unfree market is just as ugly and just as stupid, except there's nothing in the mall and if you don't go there they shoot you."

—P. J. O'Rourke

"Every major horror of history was committed in the name of an altruistic motive."
"The fundamental evil of government grants is the fact that men are forced to pay for the support of ideas diametrically opposed to their own."

—Ayn Rand

"Once we accept the flawed view that being cared for by an all-powerful state is the natural order of things, we accept a severe restriction of our freedom. We end up with a hugely expensive structure that is supposed to stop people from sleeping on the streets, being mugged, being unemployed or taking dangerous drugs, while itself exacerbating–if not causing–these problems."

—Gregory Sams

"I do not regret the purposeful suicide of a parasitic subpopulation, and seriously question the wisdom and practicality of any investment aimed to bar the lemmings from the sea cliff."

"We can inhabit the moon or the Welfare office, but not both."

"If, after accumulating a twenty-five year's tax-exempt stipend of $500,000 to $800,000, a family still wallows beneath the Federal poverty line, then the arguments for eugenics take on a new immediacy."

"Nothing is better for America than less Washington."

"People who think the State is disposed to deliver them from civil disorder will pay for their ignorance with their lives, and those of their loved ones."

Objective reality is the sworn enemy of Liberal cant."

"Liberalism fails when it can no longer steal productive people's wealth."

—"Uncle Al" Schwartz

Derrick Said:

How many criminals voted for obama?

We Answered:

Inmates don't vote. Nor do most criminals.

Penny Said:

How Can I Vote For Liberals In Washington?

We Answered:

In November we will vote all of them out.

Kurt Said:

How far out of touch are our politicians.?

We Answered:

"Extremely" is the short answer, but I will try to answer your question in detail.

I do not disagree with what you say about the Cons and Labs, but after hearing Clegg on TV today interviewed by Marr I am not much enchanted by the Lib-Dems either! Like many others in Yahoo I believe whether we have a Con victory or a Lab victory or even a Lib-Dem victory, we will just end up with the same cloud cuckooland out of touch ideology dominated by all party political correctness and stupid new legislation intended to deceive us all.i.e. "more of the same out of touchness" let me look aqt a few common mantras they express e.g.
mantra - "mass immigration is good for the British economy and only racist nazi bigots oppose it" (truth -there never ever been any kind of democratic consultation nor voters mandate ever in the UK authorising the UK government to expand the EU to 27 and allow free movement of labour between EU Member states causing 300% increase into the UK population in recent years. Most people in the UK really believe the country is so grossly overcrowded and the resultant burden on our hospitals, schools, housing and other necessities has already reached over saturation poimt and so have to turn to extremist parties to even get heard)
or
mantra - "the world is doomed unless we give billions of our taxpayers money so that under-developed countries can stop CO2 emissions and so stop global warming" (when experts like Martin Durkin and Lord Monkton and Professor Paul Stott and many Russian experts s have proved beyond reasonable doubt in papers to Copenhagen summit all the claims made about global warming by the UNIPCC and the likes of Al Gore and Gordon Brown and David Cameron and Nick Clegg are of the order of 2000% exaggerations of what will actually happen over next 50 years. And anyway CO2 emissions have also been proved by Lord Monkton not to be the cause and cutting CO2 emissions and so, as he has shown, wrecking the world economy will not stop global warming as they try to lie to us in contending)
or
Mantra - "The TV Licence Fee must go up because then 'impartial' BBC is vital to Britain" (truth - most Brits are finding it increasingly difficult to find the cash to pay the extortinately high licence fee and many prefer to watch other channels like Sky or ITV or the adult channel, so utterly deplore having to pay so much to support far too many BBC channels they never watch nor desire to watch. And they resent in the strongest terms paying so that BBC can poach Nick robinson from ITV by paying him 3 times what he is worth or pay ridiculous sums of our money to pillocks like Jonathen Ross and Terry Wogan and the Director General and Head of the TV Trust being paid far far more than the British Prime Minister for doing such a lousy job. And particularly resent the way the BBC suppresses anybody departing from the Lab-Con-Lib party line, and using every possible deceitful misrepresentation of truth to try to distort and discredit the leaders of the UKIP, BNP, SNP, ENP SWP and jam out people like Lord Monkton from ever being properly heard against the deceivers)
or
mantra - "It is vital that our MPs are very well paid and have expensive second homes in London, so that we have people of the necessary high calibre in parliament and our government's policies can be properly scrutinised" (truth = most people believe, or rather know all MPS to be grossly overpaid and so abysmally out of touch with the real world of work added to fact we have now found out nearly all Conservative, Labour and lib-Dem politicians including people like David Cameron have been on the fiddle to line their own tacky smelly pockets and so deprive our troops of vital money needed to buy equipment on which their lives depend on their pittance pay, while they live in ultra luxury in tandem with doing absolutely B-all to represent the true wishes of the people whom they conned into voting for them when they do ever turn up to parliament to make puerile animal noises). etc. etc. etc.

But sadly it seems too many in Yahoo and elsewhere still actually believe that if only Gordon Brown's government is replaced by a government led by David Cameron that will somehow bring "change" (when in truth all we will get will be more of the same out of touchness and stupidity and incompetence we have had our bellyfull of for past 20 years). That is what I submit is being out of touch with reality?

Amber Said:

Why are liberal dems against picture I.D. and how many dead people will vote for liberals this time?

We Answered:

It's 5PM on election day and already the claims of "abuse" are flying (from BOTH sides). It's getting ridiculous.

I'd support a national "Citizen I.D." but not because I believe that Dems are bussing illegals to the polls. I just think it'd be helpful, not only to precinct workers, but also to employers, banks, businesses, airlines, etc.... anyplace that would appreciate a more foolproof way to be assured of whom they are dealing with.

But as for our American system of voting, I think we do a pretty good job with the volunteers who work long hours to make our elections the most honest on planet earth.

If you don't agree with that, you've been drinking too much partisan KoolAid. Now take a deep breath and repeat after me: "America is a wonderful country!"

Vicki Said:

Has Kevin 07's appearance on Rove changed your mind about voting on Saturday?

We Answered:

I agree with you 100%..
I though, care about our local candidate (who is currently Liberal) who has done a fantastic job, and I also care about the great policies of Liberal.

Rudd's appearance does not change my mind one tiny bit.
