You are confused, as most liberals are. Although one claims to be a conservative that does not mean that they are. Bush is a prime example of this, while he is somewhat socially conservative, he has no concept of fiscal conservatism. In other words Republican does not equal conservative. And you may claim to be a liberal but in fact you are probably more aligned with a progressive which has taken the definition of liberalism and distorted into something that is more like a combination of a socialist and an anarchist. You believe the government is the ultimate care taker and they should allow complete moral and social freedom for people to do much of whatever they wish.
