What's the difference between a Baccalaureate College and a Liberal Arts College? We Answered:
There's no difference. Liberal arts colleges place their emphasis on undergraduate education -- on students earning the bachelor's degree -- and have few or no graduate programs and schools. So, a liberal arts college may be called a "baccalaureate college,' though that term really isn't used much. The programs offered at all liberal arts colleges will vary, but a B.S. degree in Biology is going to mean pretty much the same thing at all of them.
I don't know a thing about St. Francis College. You'll have to do some research. It seems to offer a liberal arts curriculum but also associate's degrees in addition to the bachelor's, and appears to have a somewhat pre-professional focus as compared with more traditional liberal arts schools.

What is the best liberal arts college close to New York City?We Answered:
Are you from NY State? If so, then some of the SUNYs may actually be exactly what you're looking for. I'm thinking SUNY New Paltz, specifically. It's a good school, in a fun town, and is primarily liberal arts oriented. It's about 1.5 hours from NYC, and you can get there by bus.Right in the city, I'd have you give a serious look to Hunter College. Hunter, like Baruch, is a CUNY, but it's more liberal arts than business. City College may also work, or Lehman; but I'm thinking you may like Hunter.
Other schools I think you'd like are SUNY Oneonta and SUNY Geneseo. Good schools, SUNYs so relatively inexpensive, and mainly liberal arts. All accessible via bus or train.
Schools that will be more expensive - but you'll apply for financial aid - but which otherwise I think you might really like are Wagner College (which is *stunning*, and is on Staten Island, so not far), Manhattan College (also in the city), and Manhattanville College (in Westchester).

what exactly is a liberal arts college? We Answered:
While law schools tend to accept all types of background, they are more comfortable accepting students from a background with theory and human studies involved, which is undoubtedly a liberal arts school. Med school, however, appreciates a variety of science influences and thus you would need to go to a regular, or science based, college.Manuel Said:
What is a liberal arts college in United States? We Answered:
I am in the Liberal Arts School at Penn State University. I love it!What a liberal art's degree is... is a degree is is less focused on a single subject such as say... history, and it is more focused on general studies, however, you will be taking more social type of classes than a regular degree.
A lot of companies like hiring people with liberal arts degree's due to the fact that they usually perform better when making speech's, or any type of social work.
Hope this helps.
