Annette Said:

What colleges are liberal (as opposed to conservative)?

We Answered:

Most nationally prestigious colleges and universities and also the state universities on the West Coast and in the Northeast are very liberal and are in locations where most people are liberal.

Massachusetts and coastal northern California are the most promising places to start looking. You can probably get some ideas from the free unbiased college finder at http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com.

Bobbie Said:

whats it mean when a college is affiliated with a church?

We Answered:

it means that it was once a very religious school. and over time it became less and less religious because society was becoming more diverse. and to compete with schools that were garnishing more students, they decided to change their system. USC used to be a very religious school. nowadays, it's a haven for football, tight sexy blondes, and........... SEX..... where's the religiosity in that?

Clinton Said:

Can I get into Princeton with an Associates Degree in General Liberal Arts (Honors)?

We Answered:

Maybe one of the other Ivy schools but Princeton doesn't accept any transfer at all. It's freshman entrance or nothing.

"If you have already started a college or university degree program elsewhere, you are not eligible to apply for admission to Princeton. We accept students who will begin their freshman year in the fall. Princeton does not offer spring semester entry or a transfer admission option."
from http://www.princeton.edu/admission/apply…

Don't let that policy stop you from applying to one of the other Ivy colleges and then applying to Princeton as a graduate student one day.

Have you looked at the USNews rankings of national universities? There are some really good schools keeping company with Princeton and Columbia. http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreview…

Ben Said:

Ideal college for political science/government?

We Answered:

Georgetown is very good for Political Science.
George Washington is good too...you might also want to look in to Northwestern (University, not College), Columbia, and American (though it's not as prestigious as the others...it could be a safety for you)

Emma Said:

What is a good university for journalism and/or liberal arts?

We Answered:

In my hometown there are two that have worldwide reputations: Columbia University and New York University. In addition there are several other excellent schools in and near the city, such as Princeton, Rutgers, and Fordham. But the best university is the city itself, which can offer you an education like no other city in the world.
