Liberal Arts Majors List
Nathaniel Said:
Is a Liberal Arts major considered to be "Humanities" at some schools? We Answered:
Yes, it is the same.Ted Said:
If I double major, must I list both majors on my resume? We Answered:
The best thing to do for any resume is personalize each one you send for the specific job and company you are applying to. You can check the company website (usually they will have a careers page) to try to find out more about what their interests and policies are regarding potential employees, and make the decision for each application. In general, however, full disclosure is best, so if a company does check your transcripts, you will not be called into question.
Steve Said:
What program should I do after i graduate w/my AA in liberal arts..?We Answered:
You need to decide what to major in. Choosing a career for the money, without passion, will not lead to success. To eliminate from your list: liberal studies, philosophy, behavioral science....(behavioral sciences are many things, psychology, sociology included). To become a psychologist you need to go on for a minimum of a master's degree. Pay scales: apa.org (left side of screen)...there are MANY different types of psychologists. I have found psychology to be extremely interesting. It has afforded me incredible flexibility in career, living all over the US, working all over the world, doing confidential research, working with corporations and various "governments". You might want to take an aptitude test to see what your real interests are. (psych prof, Ph.D.)
