How can I join the liberal book club by mail?We Answered:
Go to your public library and ask the reference librarian. They keep it confidential. If you are not comfortable with that do a google for public libraries that have reference online, like larger cities around where you live. They will answer this Q whether you are in their service area or not. If they don't, go to www. ala.org and ask it there.Frank Said:
Aren't liberal art degrees worthless? We Answered:
I didn't know being liberal was a art. Imagine that spending $40,000 a year learning to be STUPIDSeriously, the only benefit to a liberal arts degree is that it is a degree and will get your foot in the door.
While you are studying to be a civil engineer there are other engineering areas that you can enter just because of an engineering degree.
Most people really have no clear idea what path they want to take in life and is more difficult if you enter college right out of high school. Because they are unclear they just take a little bit of everything or as much as they can and just get the degree.
I was always interested in electronics, built my first computer in 1975 and worked in electronics starting in the Army in 1966 as a radio repairman and finally retired this past June.

What are some books for a church book club?We Answered:
Try two fictional autobiographies, Dangerous Days and Blades, by J. William Turner, which have no obscene language. They deal with teenagers confronting life and death situations, and resolving other personal dilemmasDarlene Said:

Would you be interested in a Lib/Con book club?We Answered:
I think it would work. The free exchange of ideas in a non hostile setting would be worth the effort, at least I would join. I think that open discussion of ideas and issues is the best way to seek a solution that both sides can agree on. When we stop listening to opposition then we are on the slippery slope because it is the opposition to our ideas that keeps us grounded and in check, we can not rely on self control to do that for us.Sergio Said:
liberal arts club ideas...?We Answered:
At my school, we put on a Dessert Theater. You can serve different cakes or cookies or whatever and just have a night of different performances. We usually do solos/duets, mimes, and poetry/prose readings, but I'm sure you could have dancing and music and other liberal arts things included. We sold the tickets for $10 last year and used "All That Jazz" as our theme. It's always a lot of fun and everyone really enjoys it.
