The Tasmanian Greens Launched their Federal Election campaign on the 8th August and the NSW Greens held their Federal Election campaign launch the next day on the 9th August.

The National Party also held its' campaign launch on 8th August in Brisbane. This is not a good idea. The nearly all had a campaign launch on the one day.

That's about it. Some of the other minor parties like the Democrats who still have Senate candidate in NSW don't appear to have been able to afford a campaign launch or the press weren't interested.

As to why they have the launch at the end of the campaign. I guess it the last chance to make a big impression after travelling around the country and making promises to all of us that in a lot of cases won't eventuate for a long time if ever. I think both launches have been held in Brisbane as QLD has the most seats likely to leave Labor - not happy with what happened to KRudd and also Western Sydney is very marginal. Remains very interesting.

I listen to Beck on the radio as well. I don't bother with FOX News channel, or any other cable news networks. Beck has a good show, and liberals are jealous.

I'm all for launching an attack on Olbermann's foolishness. He outright lies on a daily basis, including the lie he told about FOX telling Beck to leave for a week (the vacation was already planned.)
