Last I looked, both Congress and the WH swing back and forth. GOP gains will be temporary, just like Democrat gains are temporary. Either adapt to the swing, or get voted out.

From what I remember, one question was about Colonist - British tensions before the Revolutionary War, Immigration issues was the last thing I vaguely remembered. I took it last year and got a 4.

How recent history was has no relevance to what you'll be tested on. Since you're trying to be a bookie about this DBQ, you should notice that they had questions on 1945-present in the past decade. Don't be so certain.

Questions about women screwed me over though. Who cares, right?

Just study all of the subjects.

One can only defend the indefensible for so long before it pulls you down with it. Democrats in general and Obama supporters in particular have a hard time letting go. I remember when President Bush nominated Harriet Myers to be a Supreme Court Justice. It was a really bad decision. Some Republicans tried to take his side but pretty soon everyone realized the error and clearly said so. But the Democrats, for better or worse, either can't see or will not see what is blatantly obvious.

Obama's administration is the Titanic. The clear-headed are already manning the lifeboats. More and more are donning their life jackets but there are still plenty still polishing the brass rails and rearranging the deck furniture. But, the cold water of reality is getting pretty hard to ignore.
