But, then again I come at the world through the eyes of an education, which I am. The word lost meaning in America through the use of liberal to contract with conservative politics. But, I know conservatives and liberals who are both liberal. Progressive is probably a better term to define left-leaning liberal politicians.

to be liberal is to be tolerant of other views and people and open minded.
a definition of a conservative is protecting the status quo, which is close minded to anything new

Yes. Conservatives seem to mistakenly believe that being broad-minded and tolerant requires putting up with deliberate stupidity, studied ignorance, bigotry and baseless hatred. It does not.

Liberals accept people of different backgrounds, cultures, lifestyles without the narrow-minded bigotry that is often displayed by some. That is the tolerance that liberals practice but even that is criticized by many conservatives.

Look, the stimulus failed miserably, the economic policy isn't working, A little punk in Iran is bullying us, like they did under Carter, health care is dead, cap and trade is buried, a party that has a super majority and owns Congress can't get anything passed, lacks any leadership, and is totally divided

All that's left now is diversion tactics.
