Liberals share a belief in individual rights, free enterprise, representative democracy, and the rule of law. In this sense, almost all Americans accept liberal ideas. So much so that it is easy to forget how revolutionary these ideas were when the American Constitution was written. Thomas Jefferson said, “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with more.” All of our founding fathers considered liberalism a foundation of “the great experiment”. America since Reagan, liberalism has been colored to appear weak and elitest and our military force is used to intervene in other nations affairs.
Think liberal, think BIG.

Conservatives are the opposite of Liberals.

As far as I can tell, the leftist liberals would establish a coalition of countries in order to help solve problems in the Mid East. I have heard Democrat after Democrat, and I say this without criticism of the idea, say that we should have gotten more countries to support us before we went into Iraq. In addition they say we should go after Iran now with a greater coalition.
The problem in Iraq is that those people who would not join us, namely France, Germany, Russia and China, were dealing under the table with Saddam Hussein. They literally would have hurt themselves if they supported intervention in Iraq. It is clear that the UN Security Council was taking kickbacks.
The problem In Iran is that China and Russia are blocking significant action against Iran's nuclear program. I wonder who has been selling Iran enrichment technology and weaponry? Is there any doubt? No one believes a country with more oil than anyone in the world needs nuclear power. The only disagreement is how we go about stopping them from getting a nuclear bomb.
One of the oddities of the situation is that those mideastern terrorists are much more disposed to hate those with a liberal social viewpoint. For example, although it is true that the left in general criticizes the right of increasing the hatred for the West in general, it is the things which the left believes which the terrorists most hate!! To make a short list: homosexual marriage, abortion on demand, greater women's rights and lukewarm or nonexistent acknowledgement of Godly laws.
It is necessary that each of us, on all sides of the issue, understand that terrorists do not want others to have personal freedom to decide. Frankly, I wish we could unite on this issue and prevent them from establishing their will over more people. Lastly, if a few countries had suggested it cost too much to help us, where would we have been in our war for independence? On the other hand, maybe some countries aren't willing to make the sacrifice that is required. In that case, any amount of money is a waste and should be spent elsewhere.

We Answered:

No, it is the result of the initial 1-sided education system that started it all, and those people who received it passed it on to their children, and their children's children, etc etc. Most intellectual teachers I know completely endorse liberal ideas, so I must say as far as education goes, we've completely moved on.
